Wellbeing
Resources this month
Every month we will feature wellbeing tools for you to engage with. Here you will find an array of resources and tools to build your physical, psychosocial, emotional and mental wellbeing.
Cultivate Social and Emotional Wellbeing
As adults we need to be able to communicate clearly, make decisions, resolve conflict, get along with others and take responsibility for our actions. You cannot teach these skills to learners if you have not developed them within yourself. To help you reflect on your own social and emotional wellbeing, look at the skills and what you can do to improve them. *This resource was extracted from the After School Surviving to Thriving manual
Nature Awareness
This activity is a resource provided by Chrysalis and will help you to become aware of the present moment. Through this activity you can experience a feeling of being grounded in the body. You can learn to be content with stillness. Lastly, this activity can help you to cultivate a habit of being open to love for yourself and others.
Stay Active and Fit
Keeping active not only enhances your physical health, it also improves your mood, concentration and emotional stability. When you exercise your body is able to detoxify and boost circulation, transporting oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. Follow these accessible workout routines that you can try in the comfort of your home. Source - COVID-19 Online Resources & News Portal.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness encourages us to focus our attention entirely on the present moment. When we are mindful, we become aware of our thoughts, physical sensations, and the environment we’re in. Below you can access Waves4Change’s Take 5 Senses activity.
